Scope of Practice and Approach
My current practice consists mainly of individual psychoanalytic psychotherapy with adults and late adolescents. I provide modern psychoanalysis for a wide range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, relationship problems, life transitions, obsessive control issues and addictive habit patterns. I also offer couples therapy to individuals in various partner relationships as well as family therapy.
With my extensive training in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, I have the necessary tools to treat the whole person and not just the presenting symptoms. By creating an empathic, collaborative environment conducive to trust and a deep rapport with all my patients, I help them uncover and address the root causes of their problems. Within this intimate working partnership, patients become increasingly curious about certain problematic aspects of their functioning. My job, as the analyst, is to help them develop insights into the underlying sources of their difficulties, thus deepening their self-understanding and feeling empowered to alleviate their suffering.
